I’ve been totally missing in action here lately, so I wanted to give y’all a quick update. We moved! It came about quickly from listing to sale, to packing to moving…but naturally not without complications. Praise the Lord, as of last night, we’re in our new place. We have some renovations planned, which will leave us in mostly packed up mode for a while still. It’s definitely added challenges to homeschooling, but for the most part we’ve been able to still do our regular studies. But, in my “free time,” I’ve been busily packing, cleaning, etc and that will continue now for a while – just in reverse. 🙂
All this to say, I probably won’t be blogging much in the next few weeks. I love being a part of the larger CC community and I’ll miss writing here. But, I’ll be back. Maybe even with a post about how we’ve homeschooled through this moving mayhem. For now, I’ll dream of homeschooling next year without any “interruptions,” like pregnancy sickness or moving. Ha!
Got any special moving plus homeschooling tips for me? Please leave them in the comments!

My advice . . . get a huge stack of interesting looking books from the library and leave your kids with the stack while you work. 🙂 (Ok, so this won’t necessarily work for long, but your children can do a lot of learning without you when they have good books.) Also, continue to call on friends for help – working on the house, watching the kids, even playing memory work review games with them so that they are still learning.
One of the things I love about homeschooling is that our children get to experience real life – illness, moving, helping other friends out, and just regular life.

Becki, always the best advice! Thank you so much for being one of those friends I’ve already been able to call on. We were talking last night about how we could “count” the afternoon at your house as school. 🙂
