Before this year began, I made one quick, inexpensive change to my schoolroom organization, which has really paid off. I added this desktop file organizer (here’s one like it) to a shelf in my schoolroom cabinet to hold my teacher’s guides.
Last year I tried them stacked on each other or leaning vertically like books in a library. But, no matter what, they always tumbled over or were tricky to sort through. The one I needed was never on top, you know?
This organizer has solved all of that! I selected this particular organizer, because 1) the space between the dividers is relatively wide, 2) the mesh material makes it adjustable, and 3) the consistent height fits on my shelf.
I added a second organizer to the shelf below to hold extra paper – blank, lined, graph, cardstock, etc. and that works great too.
Do you have a great, quick organization tip? Please share! Every little bit can make the day easier.

I use magazine holders in a similar fashion, I turn them so the long side is down and I have a category for language arts, math, CC. Work really well for all those teacher guides and books I need. This is a great tip too! Thanks for sharing!
