I seem to be drawn to any lesson plan ideas that include food & I’m not fighting it! Food that’s pleasing to the eyes & taste buds will surely captivate my littles’ attentions and imaginations. Plus while we’re reinforcing our facts and having fun, there is also so much to be learned in the kitchen — following a recipe, measuring, mixing, working as a team, cause & effect, being creative, etc etc etc. What about you? Do you include food in your lesson plans? I do hope you’ll share!
We often use cooking to reinforce customary measurement at home. My son is often willing to eat things he usually doesn’t when he is the chef, too!
