Science {Sorta} – Biblical Worldview
So, I’m not sure this would exactly qualify as science…But, since this week’s sentence was about the theory of evolution I thought it was time to put words to something we practice in our everyday life. & that is – a Biblical worldview. I definitely want our children to understand that the Bible is what our education revolves around. It starts & ends there. It is important for them to realize that whatever they learn, they can “check” it against the truth told to us from God in the Bible to see if it is right. This was not our first conversation about this, nor will it be our last, but it was good to discuss & draw it about today!
Bonus: we also discussed the relevancy of our worldview in relation to our history sentence. I want children who know right from wrong in how others are treated. I want children who know right from wrong before judges or laws decide for them. I want children who think critically and independently of any laws or guidelines the world offers. and I want children who know God rules their lives more than any judge or law.
Okay, I’m getting a little wordy here….who is with me? By the way, education-degree-holding teachers out there, what is the name for this map-y thing we made today? There is a name for it, right?

It looks like mind mapping but there may be another name for it. It’s the best way to take notes!
