Maple Snow Candy
We’ve been reading the Little House on the Prairie series of books to coincide with the American history we’re learning in cycle 3 this year. So, today, I decided we should try our hand at making maple snow candy like Ma & the girls. Our second attempt worked, the boys loved it & it only took a few minutes to achieve success. Plus, it was more chemistry in action! I’d say that’s a win!
This recipe has lots of photographs, which made it easy for the boys to follow the candy’s progress — http://quakerfarm.com/sugarsnow.html

Yummy! Thanks for sharing. We will definitely have to try this. That looks a lot better than what my kids are currently doing with the snow by bringing it in in cups and just easting it plain with a spoon. 🙂
