Traveling the 50 States with the Flat Littles

 

As you know, we’re studying the United States of America this year for cycle 3 geography of Classical Conversations. I have a fun idea that I would love for you to participate in! In the spirit of Flat Stanley, I’ve drawn a cartoon-like picture of my littles, which I’ll send to participating families through e-mail. You’d print them out, cut them out, and take them with you to somewhere of interest in your state. You could even take them if you’re traveling out of your state! You’d snap a couple of pictures of the Flat Littles with said landmark and send me the images via e-mail.  I’d feature your pictures and your state in a post. I’d love to include your family as well, if you want to be in the pictures and tell me a little about yourselves. The Flat Littles could even visit your CC community! Going on a field trip? Take them with you! Bonus points if the littles visit any of the geographical features we’re studying! 🙂

Perhaps some of you are asking the same question that my sister asked, “Where’s the baby? Why isn’t he with the Flat Littles?” Well, I’ll tell you the same thing I told her, “He’s far too young to travel with other people! He’s a nursing baby for goodness sake!” 😉

 

My friends, the Hogan family, have already begun traveling with the Flat Littles.  Here’s a great picture they snapped.  Can you tell where they are and who they are with? 🙂 Join in the fun so together we can all travel the 50 states with my flat littles!
