The View from Here – Community Day

We’re on week 13 at our cc community day.  How fun was the art today? Mixing egg yolks with crushed chalk to make paint was so cool.
The little artists were all so diligent in their creativity.  I love seeing the different visions come from their minds to their papers.

Of course, we bring all their work home.  I’ve designed a few places in our home to display my littles’ artwork — frames with white mats, bulletin boards, and an easel.  I love seeing them on display and I think it shows them how we value their creations.   I’ve also scanned them onto the computer, uploaded them to a photo sharing site, and printed bound photo books with (some of) their art.  Fun to look through now & surely even more fun later! Oh & of course, some is hole punched and added to their school notebooks.

Hands-on science makes the learning so much more tangible.  Don’t you think?

And finally, my oldest doing his presentation with my littlest looking on.

This is what community day looks like from here.  What about you? Share your photos on instagram with the tag #ccathome and spot mine there too by searching #ccathome.
